2022 CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Interest Session OR Special Interest (Vendor)

The Southern Business Education Association invites proposals from its members for participation in the SBEA 2022 convention program. A proposal is a request to participate or lead in the following types of sessions—Interest OR Special Interest. Presenters must be individual members of NBEA/SBEA to present at this convention. Session presenters are required to pay the appropriate registration fee in full. All presenters must register for the convention by the Early Registration Deadline of October 1, 2022.
Interest Sessions include presentations of successful practices and programs implemented in business classrooms on the middle, secondary, and postsecondary levels and are conducted by educators. These one-hour sessions are intended for audiences of 25-30; presenters must supply their own laptop; projector and screen will be provided in each room; and sessions may include 1-3 presenters.
Special Interest Sessions are conducted by representatives of textbook publishers, software developers, or other conference educational materials exhibitors. These one-hour sessions are intended for audiences of 25-30; presenters must supply their own laptop; projector and screen will be provided in each room; and sessions may include 1-3 presenters.
SBEA members from the middle, secondary, or postsecondary levels and state/local business education supervisors may submit proposals. Multiple proposals may be submitted but each on a separate form. The proposal must specify one of the following presentation types: Interest Session or Special Interest Session. The program committee may edit titles and descriptions, suggest alternative formats, and/or encourage joint presentations for proposals submitted on similar topics.
